THANK YOU ALL

BETH GRIGG AND EILEEN REILLY
For all their hard work to prepare the office, coordinate the recipient partners, and orchestrate the controlled chaos on the big day. An effort that requires weeks of preparation.

ALL OF OUR VOLUNTEERS
The many friends, colleagues, employees and their children who gave up their Saturday to package the groceries, loaded the trucks and distributed all to help families in our community to have a happier Thanksgiving.

OUR RECIPIENT PARTNERS
The Jewish Community Center, St. Vincent de Paul Charities, Sisters of the Immaculate Heart, St. Anthony’s of Ambler, The Who so Ever Gospel Mission, The Kelly Anne Dolan Fund, The Wissahickon Fire Company. Without their outreach efforts we would never be able to help so many.

THE AMBLER FLOWER SHOP
Gene McGonagle of the Ambler Flower Shop who enlists an army of middle schoolers, Girl Scouts, and others to construct and package the beautiful flower center pieces. The highlight of our efforts for many of the families.

DONORS
None of this is possible without the generosity of our many donors.

What We Accomplished

This year we celebrated our 11th year of the Annual Lakash Turkey Drive.

What started in 2008 with just a handful of friends and employees, a couple pick up trucks and 30 families has now grown beyond our expectations and the confines of our offices.

We couldn’t be prouder or more thankful for the effort, care and contributions that make this endeavor possible. With your help, we were able to provide a Thanksgiving Dinner and groceries for a week to 180 families. Additionally, through the WSG Mission, a Thanksgiving feast was provided to over 150 residents and their family members.

That required 1600, grocery bags, 4000 lbs of turkey, 23,000 lbs of groceries, 400 pies, 200 flower arrangements (and a lot of coffee and donuts).

Of the $32,000 costs for groceries, truck rentals, flowers (and of course the coffee and donuts) we received an incredible $8,575 in contributions. Thank you all so much.
